Your child is required to remain home.

- Bacteria
- Fever, headache, malaise, anorexia, infrequent stools and possible rash on trunk
Transmission:
- Fecal-oral route, either by direct contact with an infected person or indirectly through ingestion of contaminated water or foods
Incubation:
- 1 to10 days
Period of Communicability:
- From onset of initial symptoms, and up to 2 weeks after
We can discuss your child's return to daycare, once all the following criteria has been met:
- Your child can eat and drink normally
- Your child can participate in all daycare activities
- A doctors note is required stating your child has had three (3) consecutive stool specimens are negative
- At least 15 days have passed since the onset of symptoms/diagnosis
- The daycare fever policy has been followed
Your child is required to remain home for at least fifteen days (15), if not longer.
